Once known as an emerging suburb, the booming area of Brabham in Perth’s North East has transformed in recent years to an amenity rich suburb, with a 4.6% annual growth rate welcoming flourishing and connected communities.
With a 33 per cent jump in sales volume from 2020 to 2021, the booming suburb has seen a recent surge of new amenity for local consumption, creating a community hub in Perth’s north-east corridor.
In 2021 alone, residents at Cedar Woods’ Ariella Private Estate have seen the launch of the Brabham Primary School, a new neighbourhood oval and more recently, the Ariella Adventure Park. The nearby Whiteman Park Metronet station has also been announced and works commenced, with completion expected in late 2024.
Over 500 families now call the estate home, with an additional 150 due to move in over the next 12 months. Cedar Woods has worked hard to create a strong sense of community within its estate, placing great importance on the connection to local amenity.
The amenity boom showed early signs in 2019 with the launch of Ariella’s Wetland Conservation Park and walking trails, bringing a nature focused approach to play to the estate’s locals.
Previously, early Brabham residents relied on neighbouring suburbs such as Ellenbrook, Midland and Swan Valley for schools, transport and parks. Now, residents have access to a multitude of high-quality amenities at their doorstep, making Brabham one of the most up-and-coming suburbs in the corridor.
As Brabham soars, local community clubs have also received support in funding through Cedar Wood’s Community Grants program. Ariella Private Estate was recently announced as Brabham Cricket Club’s major sponsor. Fondly named the Brabham Racers, the club is the first social sporting club to be formed in the area. Additionally, the estate sponsored the local Diwali Festival, providing funding for the Brabham Multicultural Club as they brought the large-scale event to life in late 2021.
Cedar Woods State Manager WA, Ben Rosser said this surge in amenity has been warmly welcomed by the Brabham community, creating a hub of activity within the thriving estate.
“It has certainly been an exciting time for our Ariella residents with the addition of several new amenities, which has helped to create a true community hub in this booming suburb,” Mr Rosser said.
“We’ve particularly been looking forward to the launch of our 8800m2 Ariella Adventure Park, which integrates local flora and fauna and boasts a large dragonfly play structure, walking trails and retained Marri and Melaleuca trees to keep park goers shaded throughout the year.”
