Economic Development Queensland says the 7,188-hectare Greater Flagstone Priority Development Area is expected to provide about 51,500 dwellings for a population of up to 138,000. The PDA is located between future employment precincts at North Maclean and Bromelton.
A major employment project is already under construction at North Maclean.
Amazon announced in March 2026 that it would invest more than $750 million in Queensland’s first Amazon Robotics fulfilment centre at Charter Hall’s Flagstone Logistics Estate. Construction has commenced on the 150,000-square-metre facility, which is targeted for completion in 2028. Amazon expects it to create more than 1,000 jobs once fully operational, with another 2,000 jobs during construction and fit-out.
Community infrastructure is also being delivered as the area grows. Logan City Council opened the $8 million Flagstone Community Hub in August 2026. The centre includes meeting and multipurpose spaces and provides access to community services and activities.
Planning is continuing for road infrastructure across the growth area. Logan City Council says preliminary design work is progressing for the Goodna Road and New Beith Road upgrade, with completion targeted for late 2026. Funding for Stage 1 construction has not yet been secured.
Together, these projects show how housing, employment, services and infrastructure can develop alongside population growth.
Cedar Woods’ Flourish community is located in South Maclean within Logan’s growth corridor. More than 600 homes are planned as the community continues to grow.
