For Jordyn and Samuel, home has always been more than a place, it’s where their story continues to grow. As current residents of Eglinton, they had already fallen in love with the charm of the suburb and its laid-back coastal lifestyle. So, when the time came to upgrade to a larger family home, they didn’t have to look far.
“We were currently living in Eglinton and didn't want to leave the suburb,” Jordyn and Samuel shared. “We were looking for a larger block of land to build our family home on and to move slightly further south to be closer to family.”
That’s when they discovered Eglinton Village, a new master planned community by Cedar Woods designed to offer a little more from life. For Jordyn and Samuel, it ticked every box.
“Eglinton Village was the perfect fit and also looks to be a lovely community to raise our new family in,” they said.
As the very first residents to join the community, they are now proud to be leading the way, setting down roots and embracing the start of something special.
A Thoughtfully Designed Community
What drew Jordyn and Samuel to Eglinton Village wasn’t just the size of the blocks or the appealing coastal location.
“The vision of Eglinton Village drew us having the nature walks and parks, and with some of the community events we have already met lots of the neighbours and everyone has been lovely. We really look forward to building that close community with everyone.” said Jordyn.
Jordyn and Samuel were particularly drawn to the walkable nature of the community. With parks, future schools, local shops, and even the beach all easily accessible on foot or bike, they saw it as an environment where their children could thrive.
Innovation with EVE
Another standout for the couple was Eglinton Village Energy (EVE), an innovative community energy sharing network that offers residents a sustainable energy option delivering savings, added value and environmental benefits for years to come.
“The 20 percent saving* on energy usage made EVE seem like a fantastic idea!” Jordyn and Samuel said noting it was something that really stood out to them when we were comparing developments.
The opportunity to reduce energy costs while contributing to a more sustainable future aligned perfectly with their values.
Looking to the Future
The couple are now watching as more homes are planned, neighbours arrive, and local amenities begin to take shape. They’re especially excited to see how the community evolve over the coming years with more families and shared experiences adding life and colour to the streets of Eglinton Village.
Whether it’s the modern design, strong community values, environmental consciousness, or coastal charm, Jordyn and Samuel found everything they hoped for at Eglinton Village.
