We sat down with Ellendale Sales Consultant Rod Scott to find out what makes Ellendale so attractive to buyers looking to build a new home in Brisbane.
Surrounded by nature
Rod says Ellendale's focus on putting the environment at the centre of its design is highly appealing.
“Ellendale is the last community of its kind in Brisbane with forty per cent of the community reserved for wildlife corridors, bush and open space and that will never change,” he says.
“A total of 189,000 trees, shrubs, ground covers and fauna connections have already been planted during a five-year program, which is extraordinary.
“The habitat supports locally and nationally significant species, including koalas, squirrel gliders, possums and owls.
“It’s fantastic the way the community has been designed. The former mandarin farm, which is Ellendale’s namesake, has been completely transformed.”
Amenities at the doorstep
Rod says most buyers in Ellendale are families seeking space for their children, while remaining close to schools, parks and retail amenity.
“They love the fact it’s a community that is family orientated. The bushland in the surrounding D’Aguilar National Park, playgrounds and facilities are all so close,” he says.
“Two primary schools are less than four minutes away, while the community’s shopping centre is being built next to a modern childcare centre, established 12 months ago.
“The centre will include a swim school for kids and be anchored by an IGA supermarket, adding even more convenience for residents.”
Access to the city centre
Rod says Ellendale is unique in that it is surrounded by nature, while being close to the heart of Brisbane.
“Brisbane CBD is just 12 kilometres from Ellendale and can be accessed via car, rail from Ferny Grove Station or by bus at the stops located throughout the surrounding area,” Rod says.
“When residents return from days in the city centre, they are relieved to arrive home to such a serene environment offering after work leisure activities such as bushwalking in the D’Aguilar National Park, which is right on their doorstep. There are walking tracks that meander next to creeks, not to mention the mountain bike tracks.”
Masterplanned design
Buying and building new in Ellendale's thoughtfully masterplanned community has countless advantages over purchasing an established home, Rod says.
“For a start, you have the ability to design your home to be exactly the way you want it with all the modern features that suit your lifestyle,” he says.
“You get to move into a brand-new home in a community with building covenants that ensure an overall high standard of quality and design, protecting your investment over the long term.
"The masterplanned design also means access to community facilities like pathways, bikeways, green open space and the children's playground have all been carefully considered.”
