Fletcher’s Slip is uniquely positioned to offer so many water-based activities. Paddling around the Harbour or launching a kite surfer from Semaphore Beach are just a few of the many possibilities. But you might also want to take a more structured approach, through swim or lifesaving lessons, either for your own benefit or as a way to introduce the kids to a club.
There are numerous clubs and opportunities around both The Port and along the coast around Semaphore. Here are a couple:
With a recently renovated Clubhouse, Semaphore Lifesaving Club offers something for everyone.
Both children and adults can enjoy both the sporting and social life of a surf-lifesaving culture.
With a history of more than 40 years, this is a Club that understands the strength of family and how to foster a sense of camaraderie and inclusiveness.
Semaphore Surf Life Saving Club is located about 2kms south of Semaphore Road, next to the Semaphore Holiday Park.
Located at Garden Island within the Adelaide Dolphin Sanctuary, Adventure Kayaking offer great paddling adventures on the Port River and into the Harbour itself. They offer lessons in paddling and handling a kayak and also stand-up paddle boards. They also offer equipment hire and lessons, and run tours so that you can explore the amazing marine environment that surrounds Fletcher’s Slip.
Come and join us soon… we know you will have a lot of fun exploring this area and our other great locations by kayak and stand-up paddle board.
