In order to make life in the Botanica Garden Apartments simpler and more efficient, a number of initiatives and building amenities have been put in place throughout the building.
Designed by one of Australia’s leading architecture firms, Hames Sharley, Botanica residents will reap the benefits of a number of design choices.
Double glazed windows block noise and keep the heat in on cold days, while the corridors have automated, motorised awning windows for natural ventilation.
Energy efficient LED down lights have been installed throughout each home, reducing energy consumption (compared to conventional incandescent lights) by approximately 80%. Common areas also have motion sensors to reduce use.
Solar power is also used to power the building’s common areas, including the lobby and corridors.
Each apartment is fitted with individual hot and cold water meters, meaning residents only pay for what is used, providing an incentive to use less water.
Triple waste bin and chute systems have been installed on all floors of the building, allowing for ‘zero landfill’ waste management.
The building is home to the first ever apartment building Parcel Locker in SA. Each apartment has access to the Parcel Locker which limits the need for repeat deliveries or collections. Not only does this mean extra convenience for our residents, it also significantly lessens the environmental impact of last mile logistics.
And, for those residents with an electric vehicle, a dedicated EV Charging Station is accessible out the front of the building. At the same time, Botanica residents have the option to install an EV Charger within their own personal carpark located in the basement.
