Green spaces for your next family outing

Written by Cedar Woods | 08 April 2022

Health and wellbeing are the cornerstones of a happy life. At Mason Quarter, you’ll find achieving this a walk in the park (literally!).

The Wollert area has a significant amount of green space, with nature reserves right at your doorstep. From carefully manicured sporting ovals to interactive play environments, appreciate the benefits of what the great outdoors has to offer.

Here are our go-to weekend spots to take the family outdoors:

Lehmann's Farm Park

This playground, set on the site of an old dairy farm, offers one of the most unique play spaces around. Its elements reflect its dairy-themed heritage, featuring cheese-shaped sculptures, a milk barrel slide, a veggie patch, statues of a farmer and a working dog, a windmill, cow bells, milk urn instruments, and many other charming details. Informative fact sheets about the original farm and the family who owned it in the 1920s add an educational aspect to the experience.

The surrounding bush setting is equally enjoyable to explore, with smooth paths for scooters and bikes, a bridge overlooking Edgar’s Creek, picnic tables (both covered and uncovered), and numerous natural play elements.

This visually appealing playground is perfect for young children, but older kids will also delight in the unique features and hidden treasures scattered throughout the site.
