We’re pleased to announce that leading independent private school Hume Anglican Grammar has chosen Wollert as the site for its fourth campus. Spanning a 10-hectare parcel of land across Mason Quarter and AVID Property Group’s masterplanned community Lyndarum North, it will be Hume Anglican Grammar’s largest campus to date.

Hume Anglican Grammar was selected for its commitment to academic excellence, student wellbeing, inclusivity and affordability – values that align with our vision for Mason Quarter’s growing and diverse community.

Affordable private education with impact

Hume Anglican Grammar is already making waves in Victoria’s education sector – government data shows it to be the fastest-growing private school in the state, with nearly 400 students enrolled in 2024 alone – a jump of over 17% from the year before.

With an open enrolment policy, the school welcomes students from all cultural, religious, and language backgrounds. Principal Bill Sweeney says this diversity is part of what makes the school so special:

“This new campus allows us to further enrich our educational offerings and support more local families with high-quality private schooling. Partnering with Cedar Woods, who share our focus on building strong, resilient communities, ensures Wollert will be a thriving environment where students can excel academically while living the values that define our school.”

What this means for Mason Quarter residents

With Wollert’s population projected to reach approximately 35,000 residents and a broader catchment of over 60,000 school-aged children by 2041, the upcoming Hume Anglican Grammar campus represents a forward-looking investment in the educational and social infrastructure of the Mason Quarter community.[1] For local families, it means:

  • Greater educational choice – In addition to government schools, families will benefit from direct access to an affordable, high-quality private education option within their own neighbourhood, reducing reliance on long commutes and broadening opportunities for local students.
  • Enhanced liveability – Proximity to quality education is a key factor families consider when choosing where to live. Hume Anglican Grammar’s future campus within Mason Quarter strengthens the neighbourhood appeal and supports long-term property value.
  • A more connected community – Schools are natural anchors for communities, bringing people together through school events, sporting activities and local partnerships to help support an inclusive, engaged community.
Looking ahead

With construction set to commence in 2032 and the school opening anticipated in 2033, Hume Anglican Grammar will grow into a Prep-12 campus, providing much needed places at the school for years to come.

We’re proud that Hume Anglican Grammar has chosen Mason Quarter as the home for its next campus, bolstering our community with further access to quality education.

Stay tuned for more updates as plans for the campus progress.
