Residents connect with local flora & fauna

Residents have a very special connection with nature here at Millars Landing. Wildlife Specialist, Joe Tonga, joined us to help educate our residents on the flora & fauna you’ll likely see along the Nature Trail at Millars Landing within the Tramway Reserve.

As part of the Tramway Reserve revitalisation project, Cedar Woods enlisted the support of local artist and woodcarver, Daniel Iley, who has spent countless hours carving native creatures from the area into existing fallen tree logs that were naturally found within the Tramway reserve.

The artist has also carved a few hidden items throughout the trail with the aim to incorporate an interactive ‘Find and Seek’ game into his artwork. Carved into the logs, passers-by can try to spot twelve gum leaves, eight eggs, seven feathers, and five gum nuts. Will you be able to find them all?

The Tramway Walking Trail at Millars Landing can be accessed from Heartwood Boulevard or Weathering Crescent so next time you’re in the area, make sure to stop by and check it out!
