We sat down with The Rivergums Estate Sales Manager, Alan Meacock for some of his favourite things around Baldivis.
What’s your favourite thing about The Rivergums?
It has to be the beautiful land and parklands surrounding the estate for the community to enjoy. The Rivergums is lucky to have over 20ha of open parklands throughout the estate that the whole family can enjoy. Whether it is a picnic by the lake or a family event in the Monster Park – there is something for everyone.
The estate is also ideally located between the CBD and Mandurah, with easy access to freeways and major roads making any journey easy.
What is your go-to place to visit in the area?
The best thing to do is just jump straight on to Safety Bay Road which will take you down to the beach. We are lucky to be so close to a vast stretch of beautiful coastline from Warnbro Foreshore up to the Rockingham Beach.
Do you have any tips for moving to the area?
Make the most of everything you have at your fingertips. Shopping, schools, parklands and public transport – you don't have to get in your car every time you want to do something. Its all here for you.
What do you enjoy about the work you do?
The thing I enjoy most is meeting new people from all walks of life – from first homebuyers to families and downsizers. I am motivated by the diversity of people and families that I meet and seeing wonderful communities evolve.
Tell us a bit about your career in the property industry?
Over the past 30 years I have worked for developers in WA and in Queensland on a range of residential projects including gated communities, built form apartments and townhomes as well as managing resort facilities like golf clubs, marinas and taverns
How long have you been with Cedar Woods?
I joined the Cedar Woods team in Queensland 4 years ago and worked on Ellendale, a land estate 12kms from Brisbane CBD. I have recently come back to WA to join the Cedar Woods team here and look forward to supporting buyers in their property journey.
What are your hobbies outside of work?
Catching up with family and friends and a strong focus on healthy pursuits - gym, tennis, hockey and golf.
