As a community shaped by nature, Bushmead is home to a wide range of parks and playgrounds amongst the trees. With options for all ages, get ready to step outside and make some memories.
Treetop Park
Suitable for ages 5 – 10 years
One of the most-loved Bushmead parks, Treetop Park features custom play equipment to complement the natural beauty of the surrounding trees. The park also includes a 6-metre tower with bridge walk and tube slides, a treetop walk, grassed areas for picnics or games, plus BBQ facilities to bring the whole family together.
Ridge Hill Green
Suitable for ages 3 – 8 years
If you’re looking for a picnic with a view, Ridge Hill Green is the place to be. The park overlooks the city skyline, framed by an array of beautiful retained trees. There’s a nature play area for the kids to enjoy and plenty of park seating to take in the views.
Rushmore Green
Suitable for ages 1 – 3 years
A toddler-friendly playground in Bushmead, Rushmore Green includes a fenced toddler and junior play area to let little imaginations run wild. Its large grassed areas and retained natural trees also provide the perfect picnic spot.
Archerfield Park
Suitable for ages 8 and above
Adventure awaits at Archerfield Park. This Bushmead park is designed to make getting fresh air and exercise much more fun, with a basketball hoops and grassed areas for games of basketball, cricket and footy. There’s also a 220m bike track that winds its way through the nearby bushland and an interactive climbing area to conquer.
Greenslope Dog Park
Suitable for all ages (and furry friends!)
The Greenslope Dog Park is an enclosed space where your furry friends are free to run around and socialise. There’s also an agility course and small tunnels for those who like to show off their skills.
Giant Park
Suitable for all ages
Kid-friendly playgrounds don’t get much cooler than this! You can find Giant Park in the leafy Leeuwin Gardens, guarded by a friendly giant. Inside, you’ll find a toddler-friendly playground for youngsters, together with a climbing net and bridge, interactive play wall, recycled timber play area, climbing platforms and adventure tunnels for older kids.
Leeuwin Gardens
Suitable for all ages
Bring along a footy or a soccer ball when you visit Leeuwin Gardens, as the grassed areas are perfect for a kick-about. There’s also lots of BBQ facilities and shaded seating for you to enjoy a family picnic.
Kadina Walking Trail
Suitable for all ages
The 4km Kadina Walking Trail is rich with local Whadjuk Noongar history and is home to many different native plant and animal species. Download the Nature Play WA interactive app from the App Store and Google Play to find out more about the trail and its history. The Kardina Trail Parkrun also takes place here every Saturday at 8am.
Battalion Walking Trail
Suitable for all ages
The Battalion Walking trail celebrates Bushmead’s early beginnings as the Bushmead Rifle Range. The 2km trail immerses you in nature, while providing a fun way to learn more about the area.
