At Eglinton Village, we believe that a thriving community is rooted in connection, collaboration, and a shared sense of pride. That spirit came to life at our recent community planting day on Saturday 10 May which turned out to be a huge success, with sunny skies, smiling faces, and a whole lot of gardening fun.
Held at the newly completed Eglinton Village Entry Statement on the corner of Marmion Road and Imperial Entrance, the event was hosted in conjunction with our wonderful partners at Landscape Elements, who helped plan and run the day. Their team was instrumental in coordinating the planting and supporting everyone who came along to lend a hand.
With the sun shining and tools at the ready, residents rolled up their sleeves and got stuck into the soil. It was the perfect opportunity for future neighbours to meet, work side by side, and begin laying the foundations for a strong and vibrant community. From enthusiastic little helpers to green-thumbed adults, everyone played a part in transforming the space into a welcoming, green gateway for Eglinton Village.
Adding to the fun, attendees were treated to coffee, morning tea, and ice cream as a thank you for their efforts. The atmosphere was full of energy as kids ran about in the sunshine, families mingled, and conversations flowed.
As a special touch, every participant received a seedling to take home, a small token to mark the day.
The newly planted landscaping around the Eglinton Village Entry Statement is now looking an absolute treat, thanks to the collective effort and care of our residents and volunteers. It’s a beautiful symbol of what can be achieved when people come together, and a welcoming first impression for all who enter the community.
