City of Logan Division 11 Councillor Natalie Willcocks joined Cedar Woods Properties Development Director Blair Britton to break ground on Flourish, in fast-growing South Maclean, in celebration of this exciting milestone.

We’ve officially commenced construction on our new Flourish community, and fast-tracked our next release of land due to high demand.

With site works underway, buyers are anticipated to begin construction of the first homes in our new community by the end of the year.

Cr Willcocks says delivering new housing for existing and future residents of the fast-growing Logan region is vital.

“Logan continues to grow as more people choose to call this area home and, whether you’re a single person, a couple or a young family who desires to live in this area, having a range of new housing options available to you is so important,” says Cr Willcocks.

“I look forward to watching Flourish and South Maclean evolve over the next few years, and to meet the new residents who live in this community.”

All homesites within the first and second stages of Flourish have already sold, with our next stage brought forward to meet the exceptional demand.

Mr Britton says buyers at Flourish were mainly local families.

“We knew Flourish’s natural surrounds, well designed masterplan and its strong connections to the surrounding suburbs of Greenbank, Flagstone and Jimboomba would appeal to buyers, but the level of enquiry has exceeded all our expectations,” he says.

Flagstone Creek runs through Flourish and forms part of the 14.5-hectares – more than a third of the masterplan – dedicated to an ecological corridor, which will be preserved and rehabilitated

Walking and cycling paths will also run through Flourish and alongside Flagstone Creek, with a recreation park to be built, featuring play equipment selected for our future residents.

“South Maclean is a beautiful scenic area with Flourish offering residents easy access to an array of amenities and recreational offerings,” says Mr Britton.

“This includes Pebble Creek Park, which is just a short walk away, featuring a playground, picnic facilities, sports ground, multi-use courts and small and large dog parks. White Rock Conservation area is within a short drive and offers hiking trails, bushland walks and picturesque outlooks.

“Residents will also be just minutes from the Greenbank Shopping Centre and close to the 12 public and private schools within proximity of the South Maclean area. We also have approval to deliver a childcare centre at Flourish to support young families moving to our growing community.

“The great thing about our new community is you are so close to so much amenity but can come home to a peaceful and tranquil environment where the whole family can flourish.”
