Cedar Woods believes in creating strong foundations, enriching people’s lives, creating connections, and fostering community spirit for the benefit of all our residents in the Glenside community.
To achieve this, Cedar Woods provides Glenside Community Grants – a program that recognises and appreciates organisations and initiatives that contribute to our community and actively supports them by providing funding to make an even bigger impact for the good of our residents. The Glenside Community Grants have transformed and enriched the Glenside community.
We are excited to announce this years Glenside Community Grants Recipients:
See Differently with Royal Society of the Blind
Funding has been awarded to See Differently, who work in partnership with the Jamie Larcombe Centre located on site at Glenside. Their OPK9 program provides veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder with a highly trained assistance dog.
The grant will support ongoing work with veterans at the Jamie Larcombe Centre, including education sessions for new veterans, peer support for current participants, and continued assistance for veterans awaiting dog matches.
Glenside Environs Club
The Glenside Environs Club is a resident-led group who are passionate about environmental conservation and are avid gardeners.
The club has been awarded funding to extend the plantings and landscaping within the reserve spaces around Botanica, Grace & Monarch Apartments.
Grace Apartments Management Committee
The Grace Apartments Management Committee has received funding to continue enhancing the Memorial Rose Garden on premise at the entrance of the SA Film Corporation. They plan on using the grant to add an elegant bird bath to the garden.
Belong Yoga
Belong Yoga, run by a Glenside apartment resident, has been awarded funding to assist in providing yoga classes to the local community. These yoga classes will provide residents with the opportunity to exersise.
