Cedar Woods breaks ground for new residential community in Melbourne’s northern-growth corridor

ASX-listed developer Cedar Woods has officially broken ground for its new residential community, Mason Quarter, located in the fast-growing suburb of Wollert.

Mason Quarter is a 64-hectrare masterplanned community located 25 kilometres north of Melbourne’s CBD, which will accommodate over 800 residences complemented by a range of lifestyle amenities including green spaces, schools and transport services.

Construction commenced this month with the appointment of Symon Bros. Constructions, continuing the long-standing relationship between Cedar Woods and the contractor, which has been welcomed by Cedar Woods’ Chief Operating Officer Patrick Archer.

“We’re excited to be working with Symon Bros. Constructions once again after many successful outcomes at Williams Landing and Carlingford Estate. Symon Bros. has a strong track record in delivering quality new communities, placing Mason Quarter in good stead to be another highly sought-after location for homebuyers and investors alike,” says Mr. Archer.

Situated in one of the City of Whittlesea’s fastest growing suburbs, Wollert, Mason Quarter is slated to attract first homebuyers, growing families and investors, with the suburb’s population expected to double by 2036.

“Land in Melbourne’s growth corridors is increasingly sought after and buyers are eager to break into this strong market,” says Mr. Archer.

“There is a great deal of amenity in the Wollert area already, although with a site of this size we will also be able to establish additional amenity and establish a brand-new community that will be able to enjoy it.”

Mason Quarter includes plans for two schools, a community facility and is located within walking distance of the future Wollert town centre. The project is also near major arterials, including the Hume Freeway and Metropolitan Ring Road, as well as the Northern Epping Hospital and established shopping centres, including Pacific Epping.

Designed around existing nature and access to green space, Mason Quarter has been carefully designed to grow with its community, in close connection to the natural surrounds of the river red gum. The project includes over thirty tree reserves, a 7.9-hectare conservation reserve, and several parks distributed throughout the community.

The official groundbreaking ceremony for Mason Quarter was held on Wednesday 30 March, announced by Cedar Woods’ Chief Operating Officer Patrick Archer and Symon Bros. Constructions Chief Executive Officer Frank Andronaco.
