We're excited to share the news of a new kindergarten and long day care centre coming to the Mason Quarter community. The Victorian Government-owned facility, set for completion by Q1 2026*, is part of the state's $14 billion Best Start, Best Life reform, which will deliver 50 new early learning centres.
Located at the Wollert Andrews Road Primary School, this centre will offer long day care and Three- and Four-Year-Old Kindergarten programs, as well as potential community spaces. Placing the centre on school grounds will provide a seamless transition for children, while offering convenience for working parents.
From 2034, the Four-Year-Old Kindergarten program will transition to Pre-Prep, with free hours doubling to 30 per week for 4-year-olds and tripling to 15 per week for 3-year-olds by 2036. This investment in early childhood education will be a welcome addition to the growing Wollert area.
