ASX-listed developer Cedar Woods recently celebrated the topping out of Hudson Hub, the sixth strata office building in its Williams Landing development in Melbourne’s west.
Alongside project partner Hacer Group, the Cedar Woods team celebrated the structural completion of Hudson Hub with the traditional topping out ceremony, placing an olive tree atop the building, a gesture symbolising prosperity, growth and strength, alongside the placement of the final beam.
Comprising 82 strata units and five retail suites, Hudson Hub has seen strong demand, with over 60 per cent of the suites already sold, demonstrating the growing appetite for premium office space beyond the CBD. Attracting a growing number of local businesses seeking to relocate from inner-city and surrounding suburbs, drawn to Williams Landing’s seamless connectivity and vibrant commercial offering.
The project's success so far reflects broader shifts in workplace preferences, with local businesses seeking quality office spaces closer to residential areas. Hudson Hub is strategically positioned to serve Wyndham's rapidly expanding population, which is projected to reach 512,000 by 2041, with Williams Landing itself expected to generate 12,000 new jobs by 2038. .[1]
“This milestone reflects our ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality, well-connected office environments in Melbourne’s growth corridors,” said James Bovell, Cedar Woods’ Victorian State Manager. “The response to Hudson Hub underscores a clear shift in the market, businesses are increasingly seeking thoughtfully designed workplaces that are closer to where they live.”
Designed by Hames Sharley, Hudson Hub integrates a suite of features that support both functionality and employee wellbeing. These include premium end-of-trip facilities, secure bicycle storage, communal EV charging stations, and expansive rooftop amenities with landscaped entertaining areas, BBQ facilities, and private balconies for selected suites. The project further emphasises sustainability with initiatives such as a high-performance facade, solar panels, and energy-efficient light fixtures.
“Williams Landing is marked as a major activity and employment centre. It has been incredible to see this project receive such a positive response, and we look forward to welcoming a wide range of new businesses to the Williams Landing community when Hudson Hub is completed in early 2026” added Bovell.
The official topping out ceremony took place on Friday 9 May, with Cedar Woods’ Victorian State Manager James Bovell, builder partner Hacer Group’s Senior Project Manager Tony Garifallou, and the project teams in attendance.
Fit out works will soon commence, with construction slated for completion in Q1 2026.
