Ellendale Grant Returns to Boost Community Groups

Ellendale Community Grant - Ferny Grove State School 35

Our 2025 Ellendale Community Grants program is live, with eligible community groups set to share in $10,000 in funding for initiatives that enhance the lives of its residents.

The grant funds will be shared amongst successful applicants in the surrounding suburbs of the Ellendale masterplanned community at Upper Kedron.Cedar Woods Properties Development Director Blair Britton said the Ellendale Community Grants program had run since the community’s inception, with a total of $85,000 shared by 57 local groups since 2017.

“Cedar Woods is proud to continue the Ellendale Community Grants program, a cornerstone of our commitment to supporting the organisations making a positive impact in our community,” he said.

“The funding we provide enables local groups to continue their work, fostering connections and enhancing the quality of life for residents of Ellendale and their neighbours, and we’ve seen the impact of the grants firsthand.

"Last year, Ferny Grove State School used its 2024 grant to purchase robotics kits, expanding its Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) program to nurture learning and supporting the needs of its teachers.”

Mr Britton said applications for the latest funding round were now open and will close on 23 May 2025, with the impact of the grants to extend beyond Upper Kedron.

“This program is our way of supporting the incredible work done by community and we look forward to discovering more worthy grant recipients through the application process this year,” he said.

“Schools and not-for-profit groups which have been operating for more than 12 months, including sports and community organisations in Upper Kedron and surrounding communities are invited to apply.

“Successful grant recipients will be announced in June.”

Ellendale is a masterplanned community being developed by Cedar Woods Properties in Upper Kedron, bordering the beautiful South D’Aguilar National Park.

Home to more than 590 families, Mr Britton said Ellendale’s 227-hectare masterplan combined nature corridors and recreation space with premium homesites, creating a harmonious environment.

“We are proud of Ellendale’s strong community ties and our investment in masterplanning homesites and green spaces that allow residents and their friends to connect with each other, and nature,” he said.
