Jo Townsend is the friendly face you will meet when you visit our sales centre at our Ellendale community in Upper Kedron.
Jo has over 15 years' of experience working on residential communities in South East Queensland. She loves helping people with finding the perfect home to suit their needs and lifestyle through listening and understanding people’s needs.
We sat down with Jo to learn more about her, why she believes Upper Kedron is such a great place to live and what makes Ellendale so special.
Why do you think more people are moving to Ellendale?
Upper Kedron is perfectly located just 12km to the Brisbane CBD, and minutes from the Ferny Grove Train Station that offers direct commute right into the city. Everything is at your doorstep, with easy access to shopping centres, quality schools, childcare centres, recreation facilities, entertainment precincts and medical facilities, while nestled against a national park to make you feel like your home is an oasis away from the hustle and bustle of city living.
Ellendale is also proving popular with those who are looking for a community to build their forever home. The unique homesites available at Ellendale offer buyers the chance to create one-of-a-kind homes.
What do you think makes Ellendale such a unique community?
Residents love coming home to Ellendale, close to the city, but bordering a national park, Ellendale offers access to a richly diverse range of local amenities, an enviable list of natural pursuits, and so much more. Enjoy an elevated life at Ellendale with surrounded by nature, space to spare, and strong connections.
Tell us more about the Ellendale community and the people that call Ellendale home
Every aspect of Ellendale’s design and landscape reflects Cedar Woods’ commitment to the environment, and that commitment is evident in how the community is designed around the existing surrounds. Over 40% of Ellendale is reserved for open space and retained natural bushland, and facilities are created to ensure that the residents at Ellendale can feel like they are living a tranquil environment amongst trees and wildlife. The Ellendale community is filled with opportunities to spend quality time with family and friends, and to enjoy the network of scenic bikeways and walking paths.
The residents at Ellendale have a choice of traditional homesites or split and sloping homesites, which means that the community is well suited to first-home buyers looking for low maintenance blocks, as well as downsizers and upgraders looking for homesites that are blank canvases on which to design and build their dream home.
Ellendale also supports the wider Upper Kedron and north Brisbane community with the Ellendale Community Grant, which recognises and appreciates the organisations that contribute to our community.
Why do you love working with Cedar Woods on Ellendale?
I was very impressed with Cedar Woods’ vision for Ellendale and what it will bring to the community. I wanted to be a part of bringing the community to life while helping people achieve the lifestyle they’ve always wanted.
Cedar Woods is focused on both building community while also fostering that community’s spirit, and you can really see that come to life at Ellendale. From its design ethos of a green priority through to its community initiative, Ellendale is a community our residents love coming home to.
Finally, tell us a little bit about you!
I have a passion for travelling and immersing myself into different cultures. I have done volunteer work in Cambodia on three occasions, which was both eye opening and rewarding. I also have a keen interest in photography and love relaxing at the beach whenever I get the chance.
