The Solaris Sales Office has transformed this June, with artist Susan Respringer creating a nature inspired mural for the whole community to enjoy.
The detailed mural depicts local fauna such as the endangered black cockatoo, red capped clover, and the black swan, interlaced with native plants such as the kangaroo paw, banksias and gum leaves. Susan incorporated the local landscape into the artwork to engage locals and build a strong sense of community.
No stranger to murals, Susan finds they are much more powerful than they initially appear, with an ability to bring communities together and strengthening the local culture. “So often I’ll see two complete strangers stop in their tracks to have a look at what I’m doing, and the next thing I know, they’re in deep in conversation with each other over the art piece. It really does bring people together,” she said.
WA State Manager, Ben Rosser said it was great to see Susan’s mural come to life. “The Solaris estate has a real connection to nature, and that is what has attracted many of our purchasers. Susan did an incredible job at tailoring her work to suit the Solaris community, bringing together all the surrounding elements into one piece,” he said.
You can check out the new mural and visit the Solaris Sales Office on the Corner Anstey Road & Jutland Entrance, Forrestdale, WA 6112.
